Bob Petersen served as a Lancaster rear-gunner during World War II and his 90th birthday was celebrated at the controls of the museum’s operational Lancaster rear gun-turret. Prior to the turret demonstration, Bob’s son, Sol Petersen, will be singing a poignant song that he wrote in honour of his father’s wartime service as a rear gunner.
